Songbirds Quilt Kit by Riley Blake Fabric

For all the bird lovers in you family, this is a quick and easy quilt that makes a great wall hanging or would look beautiful over that comfy chair in your living room.
 
The Songbird Serenade Quilt features the beautiful and richly-colored birds of the Art Journal fabric collection, designed by J. Wecker Frisch for Riley Blake Designs. The birds are illustrated in an antique style, while the sheet music borders add contemporary notes to the design. The quilt is easily pieced and comes together very quickly. The finished size is 35' x 50". The kit inlcudes the panel and all the fabrics for the quilt top and binding as shown in the photos AND the BACKING FABRIC. A printed copy of the free pattern from Riley Blake is included with the kit.

About the collection: The Art Journal fabric collection is image-rich ephemera (old paper) that was carefully chosen from the personal archive of J. Wecker Frisch. Janet's lifelong passion for antique illustration and advertising highlights the study of nature using a modern/vintage eclectic style.
 
This kit starts with a panel.  Each bird is cut out and then black sashing is used to create a bordered look that is followed with a symphony border of musical scores.
